Redmi 7 Pros
I know you don’t like to see the negative things first. So, we will start with the Redmi 7 Pros first. During my test run, I liked many things about this handset and all of them are listed below:
1. Built with Gradient Color
It has become a fashion these days; thanks to Honor-branded devices. Most of the people now want a phone with gradient color and that’s what Xiaomi has done with this phone. You get a gradient color design that makes the handset look stunning.
2. Gorilla Glass 5
Everyone drops his/her phone accidentally at least once a week and if you do not have proper protection, the display will be broken instantly. Xiaomi has added Gorilla Glass 5 layer to ensure utmost protection of its display. It is probably one of the best Redmi 7 Pros.
3. Snapdragon 632 Processor
It is quite an unexpected feature in a cheap smartphone like Redmi 7. You actually get a mid-range processor in a low-end device. This processor is capable of handling heavy games like PUBG Mobile.
4. Water-Drop Notch
People love the notch, especially water-drop one as it takes less space. Xiaomi has blessed this handset with a water-drop notch which makes the display look stunning.
5. 18 Days of Battery Life
Talking about another Redmi 7 Pros, the handset can offer you 18 days of battery life (Standby mode). During normal usage, it lasts more than 2 days which is more than sufficient for a normal user. For a power user like me, the handset lasts a day. However, during heavy gaming and usage, the battery life reduces to 6-7 hours.
6. Dedicated SD Card Slot and 3.5mm Audio Jack
To keep the design minimal, most of the smartphone manufacturers are now removing the 3.5mm audio jack port and dedicated SD card slot. Fortunately, this is not the case with Redmi 7.
7. Budget Price
The price of this handset is Rs. 7,999 for the 3 GB + 32 GB variant. This is one of the cheapest smartphones that offer better specifications than its competitors. With a budget-friendly price, the handset will surely win the hearts of its users.
Redmi 7 Cons
With good comes bad too. This smartphone surely has some interesting features but also comes with some negative things. With that said, now is the time to talk about Redmi 7 Cons. Have a look below:
1. Built of Plastic
Well, accept it. The handset is cheap and that’s the reason it comes with a plastic build. However, the gradient color design makes it look like a premium handset.
2. Average Lowlight Camera
The performance of Redmi 7’s camera during lowlight condition is average. You should not expect it to produce a high-quality photo. It comes in at #2 in the list of Redmi 7 Cons.
3. Big Chin (Bezel)
While the company has managed to utilize the space on the top at the front but couldn’t do much about the chin. So, you need to deal with a big chin below the display.
4. 720 Pixels Display
This is a budget phone and costs just a fraction of what flagships cost. So, there has to be some price-cutting; right?
